The Lycian way is one of the ancient trails that is more than 500 kilometers in length. This ancient trail used to be one of the most important routes of ancient Lycia. As it connected many settlement areas and served as an important trade route as well.

How Long Is Lycian Way?

Lycian Way takes more than 500 kilometers, which means it is more than 310 miles. The trail of the way is marked with rocks on both sides and you can find tree trunks or rocks every 50 meters. There are also signs to not get lost.

These signs are often taken care of by volunteers and you can find many hiking tours that cover a specific part of the way.

Where Does the Lycian Way Start?

Lycian Way starts in Ovacik. Ovacik is a neighborhood of Fethiye, which is located in the northern part of Oludeniz. The way ends at Geyilkbayiri, which is 20 kilometers away from Antalya city center.

There are no specific requirements to start from any end of the way. Depending on your preferences, you can participate in hiking tours and enjoy a full day in a different part of the way. Considering its more than 500-kilometer length, you cannot complete the entire way in a day.
